Whoops...

... I posted before I edited when the cat hopped onto the keyboard. I meant to put up a cute kitten picture to indicate that I was humbled and sorry. Gee, there went the Peace Offering! I also appologize to the Porcupine. The picture makes her/him look unhappy. Or at least in the midst of a bad hair day. How can you feel good about a porcupine in the midst of a bad hair day? That's just not P.C.

I must run now. I'll be giving a stem winder of a sermon in little bit and have to get really, well, wound up.

One of the joys of being 'non-stipendiary' is that I can say what needs to be said, and if the congregation walks... I guess they didn't want to hear.

I had a chat with the Tadpole the other night. I told him that, "The morning of my 80th birthday we are going to go squirrel hunting." He gets one shot. If he only wounds me, I'll be really pissed off and not be responsible for whatever happens next. I hate getting shot. It always makes me feel so unwanted.

The Frog
While walking by a pond one day to see what I could see,
I chanced to spot a little frog a'looking up at me.
He climbed onto a lilly pad and hopped up on a log!
Not everyday one gets to see a climbing, hoppy frog.
At first he looked so very sad but then I saw him grin.
I reached right down to tickle him but frogs don't have no chin.
And so I bade him fond farewell, I must be on my way,
I'll see you if I chance to pass this pond again someday!
